PATRICK JOUIN ID

Patrick Jouin is a designer. In 1998, he created Patrick Jouin iD, a structure dedicated to industrial design in its broadest sense. It designs furniture and objects for manufacturers such as Cassina, Zanotta, Pedrali, Fermob, Puiforcat... but also for the public space with JCDecaux, RATP, Grand Paris Express. Patrick Jouin’s career and his studio where consecrated by a monographic exhibition, in Paris at Centre Pompidou in 2009 and honored with the Compasso d’Oro in 2011 for PastaPot. Many of his creations are in the permanent collections of museums worldwilde, including the «Solid» collection at MOMA, which in 2004 was the first series of real-size furniture made by 3D printing technology. The studio continues its research work by unveiling at the Salone del Mobile 2019, Tamu. A folding chair, made in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes, made by 3D printing, which uses the least amount of space and material possible to be manufactured. Patrick Jouin is also involved in interior design projects with his partner Sanjit Manku, within the studio Jouin Manku founded in 2006.
